Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna

University of Bologna (UNIBO) is one of the most important institutions of higher education across Europe. It is the first Italian university for the attractiveness of European funding for research.

The Laboratory of Immunology (LoI) belongs to the Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine (DIMES). LoI research activities are focused on the characterization of aging, longevity and age-related diseases using a systemic approach (genomics, epigenetics, transcriptomics, metabolomics).

LoI is fully equipped for cellular and molecular biology analysis and has a computational facility for large dataset statistical analysis. LoI staff has free of charge access to Illumina Infinium platform for epigenetic analysis and to Sequenom MassArray, a high throughput facility for candidate gene DNA methylation analysis.
